The Italian Job Remake: filming with Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor: Abbas Mustan’s remake of the Hollywood crime thriller The Italian Job started filming in Goa today, November 8.
The film headlines Abhishek Bachchan, Bobby Deol and Sonam Kapoor.
Sonam and Abhishek shared their excitement with their Twitter fans:
“In goa starting a new film.. Excited and nervous all over again..” Sonam tweeted yesterday evening.
“It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day and it’s a new film!!! 1st day of shoot. Ok, I think I’ll go faint now!! Nervous” Abhishek tweeted early morning today.
The film’s unit was welcomed with stormy weather in the tourist hotspot, but the team was hard at work with the lead pair filming a dance sequence.
“Dancing with atjuniorbachchan both of us are trying to make our long limbs shake gracefully.” Sonam tweeted in the afternoon.
The film additionally features Neil Nitin Mukesh, Omi Vaidya and Bipasha Basu.
It’s an official adaptation of the 2003 heist film, The Italian Job, headlining Mark Wahlberg and Charlize Theron.
Abhishek Bachchan will play Mark Wahlberg’s role and Sonam Kapoor – Charlize Theron’s; Omi Vaidya will step into Seth Green’s shoes and Bobby Deol into Jason Statham’s; Neil plays the villain Steve’s role, essayed in the original by Edward Norton.
The Studio 18 bank rolled film will be next shot in Russia and New Zealand.

Abhishek Bachchan is a big Hanuman Bhakt. He unveils world’s largest Hanuman statue and offers prayers with his sister Shweta Nanda.
He unveiled the statue at Jakhu temple and was among the first to offer his prayers to Hanuman.
“I strongly believe in Hanumanji and am fully convinced that just having unflinching faith in him solves all the problems,” said the 34-year-old actor.
Bachchan said that he was smitten with the natural beauty of Shimla and would like to visit the place again with his family.
“My film LOC was shot in the hill station and I have come back after nine years,” said the actor who will next be seen in the period drama ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se’.
The film was directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and it revolves around the Chittagong uprising of the 1930′s.
“I was moved by the history of Chittagong uprising and strongly felt that the stories of valour and courage shown by great revolutionaries must be depicted on big screen,” he said.

The Bachchan family attended the Hello Hall of Fame award on Sunday night and later went for dinner together at Taj to bring in Aishwarya’s birthday. “Family dinner at Chinese in Taj where function was held … and brought in Aishwarya’s birthday…good feel about the day,” Big B wrote on his twitter page.
Abhishek in turn posted the image of the birthday girl with a chocolate birthday cake.
“There she is, as promised, the birthday girl….” he wrote and tweeted the picture below.

The Bollywood still the best queen and bachchan’s Bahu Aishwarya Rai, who is busy promoting two of her upcoming films releasing next month, will squeeze out some time to be with her family on her birthday Nov 1.
‘I am busy promoting my films. ‘Action Replayy’ is releasing on Nov 5 so lots of intense work every day.
I have kept aside time on my birthday as always I spend it with my family, and how the day will roll I have no idea,’ Aishwarya, who will turn 37, told IANS in an interview.
After director Vipul Shah’s retro comedy ‘Action Replayy’, Aishwarya has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Guzaarish’ releasing Nov 19.
