India’s master batsman Sachin Tendulkar, boxing ace MC Mary Kom and wrestling superstar Sushil Kumar took the top honours at the Sahara India Sports Awards in Mumbai, on Saturday.
Veteran Tendulkar was named the Cricket of the Year, while World and Commonwealth Games gold medalist Sushil Kumar was honoured with the prestigious Sportsman of the Year.
The Sportswoman of the Year went deservedly to world champion MC Mary Kom, while the Indian Davis Cup beat the Indian cricket team to take home the Team of the Year Award.

We loved the drama in the dress – Fitted bodice with flirty sweetheart neckline, voluminous bubble hem skirt with a tiered chunky cascade detail on waist. Her red lipstick and a pearl tiered necklace with an emerald center piece added to the drool factor; the swept back updo came close to tipping us into insanity.
Deepika accessorized with a chunky ring that matched her necklace, sparkling clutch, and bow topped glossy Ferragamo pumps.

Romantic Connection between Shahid Kapoor & Deepika Padukone?: A Mumbai tabloid is reporting that Priyanka Chopra called timeout on her relationship with Shahid Kapoor because he started to show inexplicable interest in Deepika Pudukone!
According to Mid Day, this happened while Priyanka was in Brazil shooting for Fear Factor.
Now considering that
Priyanka was in Brazil two months ago;
Priyanka and Shahid exchanged xoxo endearments on Twitter, with Priyanka addressing Shahid as Shaks, on September 7;
And Deepika has been going around with Kingfisher scion Siddharth Mallaya since August;
Gossip Mamu is constrained to call BS on the Mid Day story.
Mamu thinks the story is nothing more than a slow news day concoction.
Back in September there were reports that Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone will feature in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heer Ranjha but Sajid later denied saying no female lead has been yet finalized for the film.
