David Duchovny Says Gillian Anderson Is a Good Kisser (The X-Files Spoilers)

Posted on 10 July 2008 by Latest Movie

David Duchovny seems to be getting a little sentimental on this movie but he still manages to include a reference to porn in the interview and say Gillian Anderson is a good kisser. Typical David!!David on kissing Gillian Anderson: “Is Gillian a good kisser? Yes she is. And we’ve kissed before over the years. It’s been many years of kissing and it’s not been a chore at all, at least not for Mulder. I guess you should ask Scully!”

David on how many times Mulder and Scully kiss on screen: “Somebody found one of these video pastiches that fans put together online – they’d cut all the kissing scenes together and set it to music. Gillian and I were watching and she said, ‘I thought we only kissed once?’ It was like a porn movie. It looked as if we were all over each other!” (video here)

David on admitting that the X-Files reunion was “sentimental” for him: “I realized that Gillian and I have changed over the years, but when you start reading these people, they haven’t. They are the same and they feel the same way about each other.”

David on showing some skin on the big screen: “There’s definitely some skin in this movie. And not all of it is being flayed or ripped apart. There’s some Gillian skin, and some of mine.”

Producer-writer Frank Spotnitz on the plotline: “The emotional story of Mulder and Scully is really the heart of the movie. It’s about their love story.”

We can tell you “The X-Files: I Want To Believe” story is set in winter 2008, so it’s happening in real time, picking up with Fox Mulder and Dana Scully six years after we last saw them alone in a hotel room after Mulder escaped the death penalty. Can’t wait to see this movie!! I’m so excited!! July 25!!!

Sexy Gillian Anderson ‘The X-Files’ Revelations

Posted on 20 April 2008 by Latest Movie

When The X-Files Premiered on TV in 1993, the purpose of Gillian Anderson’s role as FBI scientist Dana Scully was to provide a rational counterpoint to partner Fox Mulder’s (David Duchovny) obsession with assorted creepy-crawlies. As the series became a huge hit, Anderson became a bona fide sex symbol. Lucky for us, she has five movies in the pipeline, including July’s super-mysterious sequel to the first X-Files move. Despite our prodding, she has sworn not to divulge any of the film’s secrets. Fortunately, that doesn’t mean she can’t be revealing in other ways. What can you spill about the new movie?
Well, there’s not much I can tell you.

Are you worried you’ll get abducted?
No, but it would depress a lot of people who worked to make this movie special. We’ve gone to pretty extreme lengths to keep things secret. I mean, the crew didn’t even get copies of the script, which made shooting pretty challenging.

Is the big secret that the sequel is essentially a romantic comedy?
Definitely not! That would be so lame. I can tell you that it’s going to be scary and gruesome

When The X-Files was airing, did you realize you were on such an iconic show?
It wasn’t until I had some distance that I realized how unique the dynamic between David Duchovny and me was. And it’s got very little to do with us; it’s something that exists us.

Have you watched Californication, where David plays a sexaholic novelists?
I have. I actually thought it would be funny to play a character who’s obsessed with Scully and wants to have sex dressed as Scully. But it didn’t happen. I guess having sex with David on the show would just be too weird for fans to see.

Do people assume you’re as serious a person as Scully in real life?
Surprisingly, yes. And I am serious in certain aspects of my life, but I’m also incredibly goofy and silly. I don’t act my age most of the time.

Do you have run-ins with X-Files freaks?
Not too much. But I do get fans who tell me that creator Chris Carter should call them if he want to know what’s really going on in the universe.

Wow. How do you respond to that?
That’s great! Thank you very much!

What will you do if extraterrestrials do exist and decided to conquer earth?
That would be just fine with me, as long as they make me their queen.

‘The X-Files – I Want to Believe’ Movie News

Posted on 16 April 2008 by Latest Movie

The truth is finally out there about the new “X-Files” movie title. OMG that title was soo obvious I don’t know why I didn’t think about that before.
The second big-screen spinoff of the paranormal TV adventure will be called “The X-Files: I Want to Believe,” Chris Carter, the series’ creator and the movie’s director and co-writer, told The Associated Press.
The title is a familiar phrase for fans of the series that starred David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as FBI agents chasing after aliens and supernatural happenings. “I Want to Believe” was the slogan on a poster Duchovny’s UFO-obsessed agent Fox Mulder had hanging in the cluttered basement office where he and Anderson’s Dana Scully worked.
“It’s a natural title,” Carter said in a telephone interview Tuesday during a break from editing the film. “It’s a story that involves the difficulties in mediating faith and science. ‘I Want to Believe.’ It really does suggest Mulder’s struggle with his faith.”
“It has struck me over the last several years talking to college-age kids that a lot of them really don’t know the show or haven’t seen it,” Carter said. “If you’re 20 years old now, the show started when you were 4. It was probably too scary for you or your parents wouldn’t let you watch it. So there’s a whole new audience that might have liked the show. This was made to, I would call it, satisfy everyone.”
The filmmakers have kept the story tightly under wraps to prevent plot spoilers from leaking on the Internet, a phenomenon that barely existed when the first movie came out in 1998.
“We went to almost comical lengths to keep the story a secret,” Carter said. “That included allowing only the key crew members to read the script, and they had to read it in a room that had video cameras trained on them. It was a new experience.”
I can’t wait to see this movie!!! Exciting!!! Counting down the days, hours and minutes!! :D

I’m sure this will make a lot of obsessed fans really happy, who am I kidding!?! I’m excited I can’t wait to watch it, The X-Files was a big landmark on the 90s and I practically grew up with it!
