Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl feels she didn’t do a good enough job to be nominated for the Emmy Awards… oh but it’s not her fault!! The damn writers aren’t good enough for Izzie (Heigl’s role in the hit TV show), so she pulled herself out of the contenders list.
“I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention,” she tells Gold Derby. “In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials.”
It’s not uncommon for past winners to withdraw from Emmy consideration, but they usually do so because they’re repeating champs who feel they’ve won enough and want to give others a shot.
But Heigl’s only won once, and it was a jaw-dropping victory at that. She was so stunned to hear her name announced when the envelope was opened that she got caught on national TV gasping a profanity. (source)
This is starting to feel like déjà vu!! Katherine loves to blame the writers for everything but still she keeps accepting whatever role they have for her sorry-self!
Katherine Heigl is knocking her summer hit Knocked Up for being “a little sexist.
“It paints the women as shrews, as humorless and uptight, and it paints the men as goofy, fun-loving guys,” she says. (source)

Katherine just got married to musician Josh Kelley but she wants to waste no time to expand the family. “I would like to start a family within the next year to year in a half,” why wait any longer, get pregnant now girl!! It’s the biggest pregnancy wave in Hollywood you can’t miss that!
As for her sex life Katherine knows no routine, she says it only got better with time “It’s always been phenomenal, but I think our sex life is ten times better than it was. We understand each other better. It’s just a whole different ball game. You feel sheltered in the moment, whether you’re being wild and crazy and you’re doing your striptease…or it’s just more mellow.”
Katherine and Josh have been together for almost 3 years, when she starred in one of his music videos and they just got married in December in a beautiful ceremony.
As for her diva like behavior, Heigl says “That’s not to say there aren’t moments when I’m a diva. Everybody has bad moments … There are people in my life who keep me grounded, so I couldn’t behave that badly, even if I wanted to.”
I just have this feeling that even through Katherine seems like a very sweet girl, I can totally see her having a diva attack.
Heigl doesn’t regret her long road to stardom though, saying: “My mother says she thinks I wouldn’t have appreciated [success] the same way if it had come faster or more easily. Now it’s a much bigger reward.”

Katherine is one happy newlywed… if you had a wedding ring as big and gorgeous as the one she has on her finger you would be happy too!
On a shopping spree with mom, Katherine Heigl was playing the decorator role, picking out patterns and a good big comfortable couch to watch some movies with the hubby. I wonder if they watch Grey’s Anatomy together… probably not! 
Later Katherine and Josh got out, grab some dinner… maybe in a romantic restaurant? They are still in honeymoon, right??

“I don’t think either one of us was thinking a Christmas wedding,” Heigl says to OK!.” Originally it was because I only get two weeks a year for my Christmas vacation… but then we really got excited about it.” “We wanted to do it in a place that felt like a winter wonderland. We incorporated lots of big evergreens in the reception with twinkle lights and Christmas decorations.”
Katherine has a beautiful simply white wedding that we hope to take a better look in other pictures. She and Josh looks absolutely happy in the photo and they sure have every reason to be, but he looks kinda strange, maybe too much make-up??
On the other hand, Katherine looks stunning and very natural, just like a bride should look like. I love it!!
On starting a new family Katherine reveals: “I’d like to start talking children seriously in the next year, but Josh feels more like two years, so we’ll probably do a year and a half.” And while Katherine tells OK! she’d like to have a big family — five or six children — Josh, 27, who was raised as one of six kids, says, “My view is, let’s take it one day and one child at a time!”

I love Katherine, she is funny a good actress and for me she is the major star in Grey’s Anatomy. Emmy winner Katherine Heigl is the new cover girl for the January issue of Vanity Fair and here are some highlights of the interview.
On Gizzie, the relationship between her Grey’s character Izzie and George (T.R. Knight): “That was kind of a big change for Izzie, wasn’t it, after she was so up on her moral high ground. They really hurt somebody, and they didn’t seem to be taking a lot of responsibility for it. I have a really hard time with that kind of thing. I’m maybe a little too black-and-white about it. I don’t really know Izzie very well right now. She’s changed a lot. I’m trying to figure her out and keep her real… It was a ratings ploy. It was absolutely something that shocked people; it wasn’t predictable, and people didn’t see it coming. It’s our fourth season; there’s not a lot of spontaneity left. And business is business; I understand that, but I want there to be some cooperation between the business end and the creative end, so there’s some way of keeping it real.”
On the Mormon influence in her family’s life before her brother’s death: “A couple of Mormon families were a great comfort [after the death of her brother when Heigl was 7 years old]. Both my parents felt a great desire for answers, and they found an answer in the Mormon church—or answers they could live with, anyway, because there really are none. I didn’t really understand death, so it was very confusing for me. The worst part was watching the devastation of my family. They weren’t the same people anymore. Everything was kind of a mess for a while. It wasn’t like Ordinary People, where it destroyed that family so badly that there was never finding any joy or loving or appreciating being alive again. But I give my parents unbelievable credit for pulling it together, and I give the Mormon church a lot of credit for helping them to do that.”
